Immortal Wisdom
Old man sitting in his chair
Smoke billowing through the air
3rd glass of brandy in hand
Hands of a working man
Paid his dues, time and time again
In a world tainted by sin,
Did all that was asked of him
I often wonder of the world he’s seen
Anxious to hear the stories he’s willing to reveal
Shaped by the horrors he conceals
A tainted world mysteriously surreal
The smoke grows thick…
Weary eyes upon his face
Begin to reveal this tainted world’s fate
But he keeps quiet with his brandy in hand
Until it is his time….once again…
Secrets tell only lies
Some kinda place
Some kinda happiness nd bliss
Nothing as surreal as this
Dont let me go
No were much to high
Secrets tell only lies
So take my hand nd we can fly
Higher than this world of empty skies
Fated angels of disguise
The old ones tell their tales
As trees share whispers in the wind
In the land of mortal sins
But do not be fooled by our disguise
For secrets tell only lies
”When best friends disappear and love fade away, when your world shatter down, what you live for?
- Yourself.”
Cool photos submitted today by Bjørn Wad from Norway. His portraits shot in Norwegian retirement homes aim to “show the elderly in a new way, a little bit rock n’ roll, with humor.”
